Update and Requests, Class of 1962 60th Reunion (August 13, 2022)
May 7, 2022

Dear classmates:
Here’s an update to our “Save the Date” announcement posted on the class website, March 22.

Our 60th reunion celebration will be an informal, catered gathering at Lakeview Park in Middleton from 4:00 to 9:00 pm, Saturday, August 13. We have reserved the park’s indoor shelter. It offers the benefits of a picturesque setting, accessibility with ample free parking nearby, affordability and flexibility in case of bad weather.

See detailed information about the recently renovated shelter:
[]. The link includes a video tour. We are confident this venue will provide a relaxed, private atmosphere for a convivial reunion.

A catered buffet will be provided by Steenbock’s on Orchard. This restaurant offers exceptionally good food and service. We estimate a per-person cost of $40 (meal, shelter rental fee, and incidental costs).

An added reunion benefit is a tour of the Wisconsin Institute For Discovery on the UW-Madison campus []. The facility pioneers in multi-disciplinary, futuristic research. Pursuits include tailored medical treatment, designs to optimize power networks, and tissue engineering, to name a few. John Wiley, former Chancellor of UW-Madison, has offered to conduct the no-cost tour before the reunion picnic. If there is sufficient interest, we will send you details later.

1. Are you planning to attend? There’s no need for a firm commitment right now, but we do need to know your level of interest.

2. Are you interested in the Institute for Discovery tour? If so, give me an indication of how many people would join the tour.

Please reply to me at the “Message Center,” Class of 1962 website (the button is in the left column on the home page). Tell me if you plan to attend (include any guests), and your current email address.

Please respond to these requests by Monday, May 16th

If you have questions, send me an email message at: [].

Thank you! We hope to see you on August 13th!
